Problem
Aspiring to reconcile the divide between herbivorous and carnivorous dietary preferences, with the aim of reshaping perceptions surrounding plant-based cuisine and comfort food.
Solution
Mindful of using eco-friendly inks, the project embraces vibrant colors while adhering to a commitment to utilize natural materials in all supporting elements. Inspired by the aesthetics of 'Stranger Things,' which itself draws inspiration from the typographic style of Steven King novels, the logo design is crafted with meticulous attention. The chosen font mirrors the triangular shapes reminiscent of cheese slices, seamlessly integrating an enigmatic essence. The subtle connection between the 'h' and 'l' in the typography aims to evoke the visual of dripping cheese. Incorporating a leaf icon resembling the Monstera plant, known colloquially as 'The Swiss Cheese Plant,' the design elements reflect a deliberate synergy. Drawing from a fusion of Art Deco Design and Shan (Chinese fan) influences, the lines separating the leaves are thoughtfully curated, contributing to the overall design composition.
I drew inspiration from a few places like the hit show, “Stranger Things”, Soho style nightlife, and the owner’s love for 80’s music. This truck was meant to have a moody neon ambience fit for movie sets and festivals.
